At Sunset Surf Shop, we want you to be as stoked about your gear as you are about catching the perfect wave. If something isn’t right with your order, we’ve got your back with our easy returns process.
Our Return Policy
You have 15 days from the delivery date to return or exchange items. All returned items must be:
- In original condition (unworn, unwashed, with tags attached)
- In original packaging
- Accompanied by proof of purchase
Non-Returnable Items
For safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Swimwear (bikinis and beachwear) – unless tags are intact and hygiene liner is in place
- Bodyboards – due to potential damage during return shipping
- Ding repair kits – once opened
- DVDs and books – if opened or showing signs of use
How to Return or Exchange
- Contact us within 15 days of receiving your order at [email protected] with your order number and details about the item you’d like to return or exchange.
- Wait for approval – Our customer service team (real surfers who understand your needs) will respond within 24 hours with return instructions.
- Pack your return – Securely package the item in its original packaging with all tags attached.
- Ship it back – Send the package to our headquarters at:

Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Refund timing: Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days after we receive your return.
- Refund method: Your refund will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal).
- Shipping costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.
Exchanges
Want to swap for a different size or color? No problem! Follow the same return process above and include a note specifying what you’d like instead. If the exchange item costs more, you’ll need to pay the difference. If it costs less, we’ll refund you the difference.

Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrived damaged or defective, contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage and your order number. We’ll send a replacement as quickly as we’d paddle out for a perfect swell.
International Returns
For customers outside the U.S., return shipping costs are your responsibility. We recommend using a trackable shipping service as we can’t be responsible for items lost in transit back to us.
